51m Tons of Oil, Non-Oil Goods Handled at Ports in 11 Months

TEHRAN Over 51.2 million tons of goods have been loaded and unloaded at the country's ports during the first eleven months of the current Iranian year (started March 21) of which some 21.5 tons were non-oil commodities, Public Relations Office of Ports and Shipping Organizations said on Monday. According to the report, some 6 million tons of non-oil goods have been exported registering an eleven percent increase compared to the corresponding period last year.
The export of clothes and fibers stand on top of the list among exported items with 12.7 percent of the total volume and Anzali Port ranks first among other ports with a 31.68 rise in handling goods in the country. Some 285,888 containers have been loaded or discharged at the country's ports during the first eleven months that shows no significant change compared to the corresponding period last year.
